Print Projects
Printmaking serves the conceptual development of my images and satisfy my passion for working with materials. I am seduced by layering ink to develop an image. Slowly and methodically, blank paper evolves to yield an image that resonates a concept, evokes a feeling and/or communicates a message. I employ and combine screenprinting, relief printing, intaglio printing and digital printing to make one-of-a-kind prints. On occasion I will print an edition of prints, but prefer to make unique prints from prepared stencils or carved plates.
It is common for me to work in a series around a particular conceptual direction. Each print speaks for itself, but is informed by the context of other work in the series. These projects are often presented in boxed portfolios which provide containment and embodiment. Within these conceptual spaces, relationships emerge, narratives evolve and meaning manifests.
