Manske / Hull Family Tree
FAMILY HISTORY
Herman Manske is the primary curator of the family history archives. To gather information, he interviewed and wrote letters to members of both the Manske family and the Hull Family. He read letters that his mother saved from relatives in Germany, then reached out to them. He worked hard trying to identify people in old family photos that might assist his efforts. Herm’s sister Delores was extremely helpful in all of these efforts. In 1988, Kent traveled to Germany, met with relatives and provided Herman with new information to help fill in holes Herman identified in his research.
Somewhere, likely at Judy Manske’s house, is the raw research that Herman collected. Before Herman passed away, he requested that a young person in the family continue his research and assist in maintaining the family archives.
FAMILY TREE
Kent created a visual family tree as a gift for Herman and Beverly in 2004. The design strategy positioned Herman and Beverly on the horizon with their five sons (Bruce, Kurt, Kent, Steven and Brad) and wives occupying the first branches. Below the horizon line is the known history of the Manske and Hull Family prior to the union of Herman and Beverly.
There is much information (from the family archives) that this tree does not include. One example, it does not include the life span of individuals, only their birth year. It does not include the extended history of individuals that are not direct descendants of Herman and Beverly.
Maggie Manske was instrumental in helping update the tree in 2021. Thank you Maggie. Distribution of the printed update will begin in Fall 2021.
Above the horizon line, names printed in gray ink represent children that are not genetic descendants of Herman and Beverly, but no less, very loved family members.
